Emergency Response to Panhandle Storm Victims

McCarty, Commissioner To All Property and Casualty Insurers Licensed by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO PANHANDLE STORM VICTIMS By Executive Order 14-144 dated April 30, 2014, Governor Rick Scott declared a state of emergency in the following northwest Florida counties: Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Liberty, Franklin, Gadsden, Leon, Wakulla, Jefferson, Madison, Taylor, Hamilton, Suwanee, Lafayette, Dixie, Columbia, Gilchrist, Levy and Alachua. The Department of Financial Services (DFS) offices in Pensacola, located at 601 East Burgess Road, will be open over the weekend from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to provide insurance consumer assistance to affected policyholders. All insurers with in-force property policies in the listed counties must ensure that sufficient adjusters are available to provide customer service and respond to claims from policyholders.
