Countyofficers;terms,combination. Sec. 4. There shall be elected for four-year terms in each organized county a sheriff, a county clerk, a county treasurer, a register of deeds and a prosecuting attorney, whose duties andpowersshallbeprovidedbylaw.Theboardofsupervisorsinanycountymaycombinethe officesofcountyclerkandregisterofdeedsinoneofficeorseparatethesameatpleasure.
