29.380. Solid waste management districts, authority to audit, when. — 1. The state auditor shall have the authority to audit solid waste management districts created under section 260.305 in the same manner as the auditor may audit any agency of the state. 2. Beginning August 28, 2015, the state auditor may conduct audits of solid waste management districts as he or she deems necessary. The state auditor may request reimbursement from the district for the costs of conducting the audit. If the auditor requests such reimbursement, the solid waste management district shall reimburse the auditor for the costs of conducting the audit and the moneys shall be deposited in the petition audit revolving trust fund created under section 29.230 . Such reimbursement shall be limited to two percent of the solid waste management district's annual monetary allocation. (L. 2012 H.B. 1251, A.L. 2015 H.B. 92 merged with S.B. 445)
