58.705. Qualifications, tenure — vacancy, how filled (certain counties). — 1. The county medical examiner shall be a physician duly licensed to practice by the state board of the healing arts. 2. The county medical examiner shall serve at the pleasure of the governing body of the county. In the event of a vacancy in the office of county medical examiner, the governing body of the county shall appoint a successor. (L. 1973 S.B. 122 §§ 2, 3)
