Section 59. Observation Rooms

Those facilities licensed pursuant to these regulations which require an observation room for the isolation of suspect or disturbed patients must meet the following requirements: A. The minimum floor area must be 80 square feet. B. The observation room must be convenient to a nurse or control station to permit close observation of patients. C. A toilet room with lavatory must be immediately accessible. D. An examination room may be modified to use as an observation room.
