Section 56. Living Or Multipurpose Room

The facility shall provide a minimum of 40 square feet per resident for common living, dining and social spaces. A. The facility shall have a living or multipurpose room for the use of the residents. Such rooms shall be provided with reading lamps, tables and chairs or couches. These furnishings shall be well constructed, comfortable and in good repair. B. The living room or multipurpose rooms shall be provided with supplies to meet the varied interests and needs of the residents. C. Each activity room shall have a window area of at least one tenth of the floor area with a minimum of at least ten square feet.
