Section 8. Cash Assistance Benefits

A. The cash assistance grant shall be determined by subtracting the benefit group's countable income from the standard of need applicable to the benefit group as indicated in 8.102.520 NMAC. B. The payment made to the benefit group shall be determined by subtracting certain amounts from the grant if the group is subject to payment sanctioning or recoupment of an overpayment. The amount left over 8.102.620 NMAC 2 after these amounts are deducted from the amount of payment shall be issued to the benefit group.
