§ 63-9C-3. Definitions

As used in the Low Income Telephone Service Assistance Act: A. “ commission ” means the public regulation commission; B. “ department ” means the human services department; and C. “ local exchange company ” means a person not engaged solely in interstate business that provides services or facilities for the transmission of two-way interactive switched voice communications over a telephone line within a local exchange area for single-line customers.
