§ 76-10-9. Penalty for violating act or regulations

Any person, individual, copartnership, association, firm, corporation, agent or employee who or which shall violate any of the provisions of this act or any of the regulations or restrictions promulgated by the regents of the agricultural college of New Mexico [New Mexico state university] under authority of this act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less than $50.00 nor more than $500.00 and in addition thereto shall be liable in a civil action for all damage that may be occasioned or caused by a violation of this act or of any of the provisions or regulations or restrictions promulgated by the regents of the agricultural college of New Mexico [New Mexico state university] under authority of this act.
