§ 1-1-14. Publication

A. As used in the Election Code, “ publication ”, unless otherwise provided in the constitution of New Mexico or the Election Code, means publication for the required number of times in a newspaper of general circulation in the county. “ Publication in Spanish ” means publication for the required number of times in an official Spanish language newspaper as set forth in Section 14-11-13 NMSA 1978 or any other Spanish language newspaper that meets the requirements of Section 14-11-2 NMSA 1978 if such newspaper exists in the county and is of general circulation in the county. B. In addition to publication as required by Subsection A of this section, any publication required of: (1) the secretary of state shall also be posted in the office of the secretary of state and on the secretary of state's web site; and (2) the county clerk shall also be posted in the office of the county clerk and on the county's web site, if the county maintains a web site.
