§ 22-13-13. School lunch program

A. The state board [department] shall prescribe standards and regulations for the establishment and operation of school lunch programs in the state. The department of education [public education department] shall provide technical advice and assistance to any school district in connection with the establishment or operation of a school lunch program. B. A local school board may accept gifts or grants for use in connection with a school lunch program in the school district. C. A “school lunch program” means a program under which lunches are served by a public school in the state on a nonprofit basis to students attending the school.
