§ 29-7-5.1. Removal of director

The director may be removed by the secretary in accordance with the procedures provided in Section 29-2-11 NMSA 1978 for removal of members of the New Mexico state police holding permanent commissions. In the case of removal proceedings for the director under that section, “ commission ”, as used in Subsections C and D of Section 29-2-11 NMSA 1978 , shall be construed to mean the New Mexico law enforcement standards and training council.
