Ohio Const. art. XII, § 4. Revenue to pay expenses and retire debts

The General Assembly shall provide for raising revenue, sufficient to defray the expenses of the state, for each year, and also a sufficient sum to pay principal and interest as they become due on the state debt. Effective: June 8, 1976
