Effective 1/1/2021 Article VI, Section 7. [Ineligibility of legislator to office created at term for which elected.] No member of the Legislature, during the term for which the member was elected, shall be appointed or elected to any civil office of profit under this State, which shall have been created, or the emoluments of which shall have been increased, during the term for which the member was elected.
