Your files, on your computer

Every matter is a folder in Documents › Justis. Keep a document or a whole matter offline; anything you save into a matter's folder uploads to it.

Edit offline

Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Markdown files open in Justis and save to disk with no connection. Changes sync when you're back online, and nothing you typed is ever overwritten.

Tabs and instant search

Keep documents, chats and reviews open side by side in tabs. ⌘K finds any file by name or by what's inside it, offline.

Dictate from anywhere

Press ⇧⌘D (Ctrl+Shift+D on Windows) in any app to dictate into Justis: a prompt, a note, a clause.

Citations stay in the app

Cited judgments and web sources open in a Justis reader window, so your research doesn't scatter across browser tabs.

Always current

The app updates itself quietly in the background. Close the window and it keeps syncing from the menu bar or system tray.

Installing on a Mac

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Justis into Applications.
  2. Open Justis from Applications and sign in with your Justis account.
  3. Google sign-in opens in your usual browser, then returns you to the app.

Installing on Windows

  1. Run the downloaded installer. It installs for your user account, no admin needed.
  2. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, choose More info → Run anyway.
