FAQ

Common questions

What is a project, exactly?

One workspace per matter. Pleadings, correspondence, draft documents and everything the agent produces sit together in the same place, so a file is found by the matter it belongs to rather than by remembering who emailed it. Every agent session you run inside a project already knows the matter's documents.

Who can see a matter I create?

Only the people you add. Access is role-based, so you can bring in a partner as an editor, an associate as a contributor and a client as view-only on the same workspace. Someone who is not on the matter cannot see it exists.

Can we work on the same document at the same time?

Yes. Uploads and drafts are shared across the team, and everyone sees the current version. Because each version is kept, two people working the same day cannot overwrite each other's work irretrievably.

How does versioning work?

Every upload and every draft is versioned automatically. You can preview any version in place, compare it with the one before, and see what the agent changed and why it says it changed it. Nothing is replaced silently.

Can I search across a whole matter?

Yes. Search runs across every document in the workspace, including the text inside PDFs, so you can find the clause you half-remember without knowing which file it is in.

What file types can I upload?

Word, PDF and spreadsheet files are read directly. Drafts and redlines come back out as .docx with tracked changes intact, and review grids export to .xlsx or CSV.

What happens to a matter when it closes?

It stays in the workspace as a record, searchable and versioned, unless you remove it. Closed matters are also where memory earns its keep — the positions taken and clauses used stay available to the next matter of the same shape.
