Ridling, Commissioner JLR DATE: April 2, 2010 SUBJECT: Compliance with Section 27-29-5, Code of Alabama 1975 Section 27-29-5, Code of Alabama 1975, as amended, includes among other things that: (b). . . transactions involving a domestic insurer and any person in its holding company system may not be entered into unless the insurer has notified the commissioner in writing of its intention to enter into such transaction at least 30 days prior thereto, . . . This statute requires notification to the Commissioner of certain transactions prior to entering into them and if the company does not comply, it could be a criminal violation. Therefore, the filing fees required for the various holding company forms are as follows: | Form A | $2,000 | | --- | --- | | Form A Amendment | $1,000 | | Form A Exemption | $1,000 | | Form B | $ 500 | | Form B Exemption | $ 100 | | Form C | $ 500 | | Form D | $ 500 | This bulletin supersedes the bulletin dated October 17, 1996, regarding compliance with Section 27-29-5, Code of Alabama 1975, and becomes effective on May 1, 2010.
