The Alabama Department of Insurance is aware that there may be some Alabama residents who have been adversely impacted by the shutdown. Therefore, this Department is supportive of any measures insurers may choose to implement to allow impacted policyholders to be reasonably accommodated, such as providing payment plans or extensions for premium payments.
