BULLETIN NO. 7 –2005 TO: ALL LICENSED INSURERS, ALL LICENSED HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATIONS, ALL LICENSED HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL SERVICE CORPORATIONS, ALL LICENSED FRATERNAL BENEFIT SOCIETIES, ALL LICENSED FARMERS MUTUAL AID ASSOCIATIONS, AND OTHER INSURING ENTITIES; ALL REGISTERED INSURER TRADE ASSOCIATIONS, AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES FROM: ARKANSAS INSURANCE DEPARTMENT SUBJECT: SERFF FILING FEES EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2005 DATE: SEPTEMBER 2, 2005 Rule 57 sets fees for all rate and form filings. When SERFF went online, the Commissioner waived filing fees for SERFF filings to encourage insurers to use SERFF. This bulletin is to announce that, effective October 1, 2005, the Department will commence charging the Rule 57 filing fees for all SERFF filings. The filer should fill out the section of the SERFF Transmittal Header dealing with the check, make a copy of the first page of the transmittal header and mail it to the Department with the check made payable to the State Insurance Department Trust Fund. The mailing address is: Arkansas Insurance Dept. Attn: (Property & Casualty or Life & Health—whichever is appropriate) 1200 W. Third St. Little Rock, AR 72201-1904 A filing is not considered complete until the filing fee is received by the Department. Failure to send the fee timely could result in a delay in review or subsequent disapproval of the filing as incomplete.
