SUBJECT: PREMIUM RATE REVIEW FOR SMALL EMPLOYER GROUP MAJOR MEDICAL
POLICIES, INCLUDING POLICIES SOLD THROUGH ASSOCIATIONS
EFFECTIVE DATE: April 10, 2012
Bulletin 7-2011 requires carriers to file on June 1 of each year its schedule of rates or the methodology for
determining rates. The Department has determined that this date should be pushed back to September 1.
Accordingly, the first filings shall be due September 1, 2012.
In addition, Bulletin 7-2011 and Bulletin 7A-2011 shall apply to carriers that issue coverage to small employer
groups located in Arkansas through group policies issued to associations. Carriers must comply with these filing
requirements of these bulletins even if the group policy is issued outside of Arkansas.
