(866) 660-0888 March 11, 2020 [AMENDED] BULLETIN NO. 4A-2020 TO: ALL INSURANCE CARRIERS DOING BUSINESS IN THIS STATE, ALL LICENSED BUSINESS ENTITIES DOING BUSINESS IN THIS STATE, ALL LICENSED PRODUCERS AND ADJUSTERS DOING BUSINESS IN THIS STATE, ALL INDUSTRY TRADE ASSOCIATIONS, THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE COMMISSIONERS, AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES FROM: ARKANSAS INSURANCE DEPARTMENT SUBJECT: NEW ADDRESS FOR THE ARKANSAS INSURANCE DEPARTMENT __________________________________________________ The purpose of this Bulletin is to inform all doing the business of insurance in the State of Arkansas and all other interested parties that, effective March 15, 2020, the new mailing address for the Arkansas Insurance Department will be: Arkansas Insurance Department 1 Commerce Way, Suite 102 Little Rock, AR 72202 All current Department phone numbers will remain unchanged. Insurers should notify policyholders of the new Department address in a manner most convenient to them in order to comply with the requirements of Ark. Code Ann. § 23-79-138(a)(3). The Department further asks that policies issued after June 30, 2020 also contain the following language in conjunction with the new AID address: “Policyholders have the right to file a complaint with the Arkansas Insurance Department (AID). You may call AID to request a complaint form at (800) 852-5494 or (501) 371-2640 or write the Department at:” Insurers are not required to re-file forms currently in use solely for purposes of reflecting the new Department address. Insurers should ensure that all forms currently in use are promptly updated by June 30, 2020 so that consumers are directed to the new address. At such time as an insurer makes a substantive change to a form currently in use that requires re-filing with the Department, the form filing should reflect the Department’s new address.
