23 CAR § 331-120. Applicants eighty (80) years of age and above

(a) A doctor’s statement of health, signed by the family physician, must be obtained on all persons eighty (80) years of age and above who make application for membership. (b) Any person who is a patient or resident of a state hospital or a nursing home must have a good health statement, signed by the attending physician, attached to and made a part of the application for membership. (c) Persons in state hospitals or mental institutions can have their benefits increased if they get a good health statement signed by their doctor.
