23 CAR § 465-310. Sectionalizing valves

(a) Sectionalizing valves shall be installed, maintained, and accessible in distribution mains at reasonable intervals to: (1) Facilitate system repairs by the utility; and (2) Keep any interruption of service to customers at a minimum. (b) These valves shall be: (1) Identified by a number or other similar method; and (2) Plotted on each utility's maps.
