24 CAR § 20-1001. Purpose

(a) The purpose of this subpart is to describe the administration of the deferred retirement option plan (DROP) as it affects the benefit levels and funding of the pension funds. (b) Acts 1993, No. 757, established the DROP for police officers. (c) Acts 1993, No. 1004, established the DROP for paid firefighters. (d) Both of these acts were effective on August 13, 1993.
