25 CAR § 1-108. Client Assistance Program

(a)(1) The Client Assistance Program (CAP) is established and funded in the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. § 701 et seq.
(2) This program is designed to uphold the rights of individuals who are applying for or receiving services from the Division of State Services for the Blind.
(3)(A) CAP is operated independent of any agency that provides treatment, services, or rehabilitation to individuals under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
(B) This information must be provided to all applicants.
(b)(1) While the applicant or eligible consumer may at any time call the following numbers, it is encouraged that they first pursue the agency’s informal appeal process.
(2) The numbers are:
(A) The division’s toll-free number, 1-800-960-9270; and
(B) Client Assistance Program’s toll-free number, 1-800-482-1174.
