26 CAR § 211-303. Copyright policy

(a)(1) Counties shall apply strict adherence to software licensing agreements and copyrights. (2) All elected officials and employees of the county must comply with this policy regardless of being on county time or using county resources. (b) Making copies of software, operator’s manuals, training materials, or other related property without the express permission of the software author or owner is strictly forbidden. (c) Reproduction, forwarding, or in any other way republishing or redistributing words, graphics, or other materials must be done only with the permission of the author/owner. (d) Employees should assume that all materials on the internet are copyrighted unless specific notice states otherwise.
