27 CAR § 1-103. Request for information

(a) All requests for information from the records of Office of Motor Vehicle shall:
(1) Be in writing; and
(2) Include the:
(A) Name and address of the person requesting the information; and
(B) Intended use of the information.
(b) Improper use of personal information:
(1) Constitutes a violation of the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994, 18 U.S.C. § 2721 et seq.; and
(2) May subject the violator to civil damages or criminal penalties.
