9 CAR § 30-522. Discharge

(a) The discharge of any child shall be planned by agency staff.
(b) The agency may discharge a child on an emergency basis if failure to do so could result in:
(1) Harm to the child or other persons; or
(2) Significant property damage.
(c) The agency shall discharge the child to the custody of:
(1) Their parent;
(2) Their guardian;
(3) A person with authorization from the parent or guardian; or
(4) A person authorized by court order to assume custody of the child.
(d) The agency shall:
(1) Complete a discharge statement on each child, including the date of and reason for discharge; and
(2) Provide a copy of it to the child’s custodian.
(e) Documentation of the discharge shall be maintained in the child’s record.
