Fee for discovery of medical records

A party in a civil action who seeks discovery of medical records from a physician or a hospital may be required by the court to pay the person from whom discovery is sought a reasonable fee for processing the records. The fee for processing the records shall not be limited to the expense of copying the records. Acts 1987, No. 359, § 1.
