Expenses furnished by academy - Exceptions

(a) The Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy shall furnish, without cost to applicants, the necessary food, lodging, laundry, and other necessary expenses while attending the academy. (b) (1) However, the salary of applicants and the necessary transportation cost in traveling to and from the academy shall be paid by the municipality or county in which employed.
