Soliciting unlawful compensation

(a) A person commits the offense of soliciting unlawful compensation if he or she requests a benefit for the performance of an official action as a public servant knowing that he or she is required to perform that action: (1) Without compensation, other than authorized salary or allowances; or (2) At a level of compensation lower than that requested. (b) Soliciting unlawful compensation is a Class A misdemeanor. Acts 1975, No. 280, § 2704; A.S.A. 1947, § 41-2704.
