Payment

(a) An amount bid at the sale of lands under this subchapter equal to the assessment, penalty, and costs shall be paid at the time of the sale, and the residue of the purchase money shall be paid into the chancery court. (b) Within twenty (20) days after the period of redemption shall have expired, the court shall cause the assessment and penalty to be paid over to the municipal board of improvement.
