Rule 4.3. Arbitration
All civil cases filed with the clerk of the Court in which the court finds or the parties agree that the amount in controversy does not exceed $50,000, except those specifically excluded by Rule 72(b), Rules of Civil Procedure, shall be submitted to and decided by an arbitrator or arbitrators in accordance with the provisions of A.R.S. § 12-133 and Rules 72 to 77, Rules of Civil Procedure. An arbitrator assigned to serve in a case subject to the provisions of Rules 72 through 73, Rules of Civil Procedure, shall receive as compensation for services in each case a fee not to exceed the amount allowed by A.R.S. § 12-133(G) per day for each day, or part thereof, necessarily expended in the hearing of the case. In lieu of payment, the arbitrator may elect to apply for Continuing Legal Education credit not to exceed 2 hours with the State Bar of Arizona pursuant to MCLE Regulation 104(B)(5).
