Rule 21.4. Verdict Forms for Necessarily Included Offenses or Attempts

(a) Generally. On request by any party and if supported by the evidence, the court must submit forms of verdicts to the jury for: (1) all offenses necessarily included in the offense charged; (2) an attempt to commit the offense charged if such an attempt is a crime; and (3) all offenses necessarily included in an attempt. (b) If No Form is Provided. If the court did not submit to the jury a form of verdict for an offense, the jury may not find the defendant guilty of that offense.
