Rule 19. Order of Proceedings

The order of proceedings must be as follows: (a) Direct, cross, and re-direct examination of the State's witnesses. (b) Direct, cross, and re-direct examination of defense witnesses. (c) Direct, cross, and re-direct examination of the State's rebuttal witnesses, if any. (d) Direct, cross, and re-direct examination of defense surrebuttal witnesses, if any. (e) Argument of the parties or their counsel, if permitted by the court. (f) Ruling by the court.
