R12-4-408. Holding Wildlife for the Department

A. A game ranger may authorize a person to possess or transport live wildlife on behalf of the Department if the wildlife is needed as evidence in a pending civil or criminal proceeding. B. With the exception of live cervids, the Department has the authority to allow a person to possess and transport captive live wildlife for up to 72 hours or as otherwise directed by the Department. C. The Director has the authority to allow a person to hold a live cervid on behalf of the Department.
