R9-25-804. Term and Transferability of Certificate of

Registration (Authorized by A.R.S. §§ 36-2202(A)(4) and (5), 36-2209(A)(2), 36-2212, and 41-1092.11) A. The Department shall issue an initial certificate of registration: 1. With a term of one year from date of issuance of the initial certificate of registration; or 2. If requested by the applicant, with a term shorter than one year that allows for the Department to conduct annual inspections of all of the applicant’s air ambulances at one time. B. The Department shall issue a renewal certificate of registration with a term of one year from the expiration date on the previous certificate of registration. C. If a certificate holder submits an application for renewal as described in R9-25-801 before the expiration date of the current certificate of registration, the current certificate of registration does not expire until the Department has made a final determination on the application for renewal, as provided in A.R.S. § 41-1092.11. D. A certificate of registration is not transferable from one person to another. E. If there is a change in the ownership of an aircraft used as an air ambulance or the person who can legally use the aircraft as an air ambulance, the new owner or person who can legally use the aircraft as an air ambulance shall apply for and obtain a new certificate of registration before using the aircraft as an air ambulance in this state.
