R18-4-114. Disinfectant Residuals, Disinfection Byproducts, and Disinfection Byproduct Precursors – 40 CFR 141, Subpart L

A. 40 CFR 141, Subpart L (40 CFR 141.130 through 141.135), is incorporated by reference as of the date specified in R18-4- 102, subject to the modifications specified in this Section; this incorporation does not include any later amendments or editions. B. 40 CFR 141.131 is not incorporated by reference. C. In order to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of this Chapter: 1. Public water systems shall use analytical methods approved by EPA and the Arizona Department of Health Services for monitoring under this Chapter; and 2. Analyses of drinking water samples shall be conducted by laboratories that have been certified by EPA or the Arizona Department of Health Services. D. A party approved by the Department shall measure daily chlorite samples at the entrance to the distribution system. E. A public water system may measure residual disinfectant concentrations for chlorine, chloramines, and chlorine dioxide by using N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine (DPD) colorimetric test kits. A party approved by the Department shall measure residual disinfectant concentration.
