Waiver of the continuing education requirement for good cause

(a) A licensee who is not engaged in any active practice during a given continuing education monitoring period shall be exempt from continuing education requirements on submission, prior to the expiration of the continuing education monitoring period, of a notarized application on a form provided by the Department. The application shall contain the statement that the licensee shall not engage in active practice until the licensee has shown proof of completion of requirements specified in section 20-32b-2 through Section 20-32b-5 of the Regulations of the Connecticut State Agencies. (b) A licensee applying for license renewal for the first time is exempt from continuing education requirements.
