(a) Persons notified. The Department shall give written notice of a hearing in any contested case to all parties, to all persons who have become intervenors, to all persons otherwise required by statute to be notified, and to such additional persons as the Board or hearing panel shall direct. The Department may give notice by newspaper publication and by such other means as the Board or hearing panel may deem appropriate. (b) Contents of notice. The notice shall contain the items of information required by law in contested cases as set forth in Section 4-177(b) and elsewhere in the General Statutes. (c) Length of notice. Unless otherwise provided by statute, or unless the Board or hearing panel finds that a shorter period of notice is reasonable and consistent with the public interest, notice of a hearing shall be given at least fourteen (14) days prior thereto. (d) Continuances. For good cause shown, the Board or hearing panel may grant a continuance.
