Testing of flocks

The state veterinarian may obtain any samples of tissue deemed necessary to determine
the scrapie status of any flock. Such samples may be submitted to an approved laboratory
for analysis. All animals from infected, source or trace flocks shall be tested using
a validated and approved "live animal" test. Positive test animals shall be designated
high risk animals.
