The following shores and waters are designated exclusive recreation clam harvesting areas for the purposes of Section 26-235 of the Connecticut General Statutes: (a) Westport Cockenoe Island area: That area of shores and waters bounded northerly by Westport Saugatuck Shores and the mouth of the Saugatuck River; easterly by designated shellfish ground as shown on map entitled "Norwalk and Westport Town Oyster Grounds Prepared By The Connecticut Shellfish Commission"; southerly by the jurisdictional line shown on said map, Cockenoe Island and designated shellfish ground as shown on said map; westerly by Sprite Island and the Norwalk and Westport Town Line as shown on said map. (b) Sherwood Island area: That area of shores and waters bounded northerly by the mouth of the Saugatuck River, Westport Compo Beach and Sherwood Island; easterly by Sherwood Point; southerly and westerly by designated shellfish ground as shown on the map entitled "Norwalk and Westport Town Oyster Grounds Prepared By The Connecticut Shellfish Commission."
