(a) No low pressure heating boiler, except reinstalled boilers and those exempted by statute,
shall be installed in this state after October 26, 1959, unless it has been designed,
constructed, inspected and stamped in conformity with the provisions of the latest
edition of section IV of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure
Vessel Code, entitled "Heating Boilers" and with addenda or amendments thereto, approved
by the society and adopted and recommended by the commissioner as safe requirements
for the construction, installation and inspection of boilers in the interest of public
safety, as such rules, addenda or amendments thereto shall appear on file with the
secretary of state.
(b) When a low pressure heating boiler is moved and reinstalled, the attached fittings
and appliances shall comply with these rules and regulations for new installations.
