policies If a group short-term care certificate replaces another group or individual short-term care or long-term care policy or certificate the replacing insurer shall waive any time periods applicable to pre-existing conditions and probationary periods in the new group short-term care certificate for similar benefits to the extent that similar exclusions have been satisfied under the original policy or certificate.
