Evidence of income (Repealed)

Each applicant for a CHFA home mortgage loan shall provide copies of the three previous
years' signed federal income tax returns (one year in the case of a loan in a targeted
area or to a prior homeowner) and the three most recent pay stubs (if provided pursuant
to section 31-13a of the General Statutes) of the applicant and all other non-dependent
resident members of the family unit, unless CHFA agrees in writing to accept other
evidence of income where no such return has been filed or no such pay stubs have been
provided. The participating lender shall obtain income and employment verification
from the applicant's employer.
In cases where an applicant is self-employed, or is one of the principal owners of
a business, the applicant's schedule C from his most recent federal income tax return
or the business' income tax return will be used, without adjustment, to determine
income, self-employment or investment losses and employee expenses on Form 2106 will
not be reflected for purposes of eligibility, but will be reflected for underwriting
ratios.
