(a) The ONE WAY sign shall be used when required to indicate streets or roadways upon which vehicular traffic is allowed to travel in one direction only. (b) The sign shall be either a white arrow, right or left, on a black horizontal rectangle of a standard, and minimum, size of 36 inches by 12 inches with the words ONE WAY centered in the arrow; or a vertical rectangle of a standard, and minimum, size of 18 inches by 24 inches with black lettering and a right or left arrow on a white background. (c) One Way signs shall be placed on the near right-hand and the far left-hand corners of the intersection so as to face traffic entering or crossing the one-way street. At signalized intersections, the signs may be placed near the appropriate signal faces. One Way signs should also be placed parallel to the one-way street directly opposite the exits from alleys and other public ways.
