(a) All markings used on public and private highways shall conform as prescribed in these
regulations, except those markings that are used on the Interstate system shall conform
to Interstate standards. Any exceptions to these regulations shall be based on an
engineering study and subject to the approval of the State Traffic Commission.
(b) All dimensions in this part are expressed in English units. Any Connecticut Department
of Transportation standards, manuals and guidelines that have been developed in metric
dimensions are considered equivalent.
