(a) A stop sign beacon is one or two sections of a standard traffic signal head with a flashing circular red indication in each section. (b) Where two lenses are used, they shall be not less than eight inch nominal diameter size, aligned horizontally and they shall be flashed simultaneously. (c) The bottom of the housing of a stop sign beacon shall be not less than twelve nor more than twenty-four inches above the top of a stop sign.
