Sec. 10-290f. Standard school construction contracts. Guidance for projects.

(b) The Department of Administrative Services shall provide leadership and guidance to recipients of grants pursuant to this chapter concerning the efficient and effective means for constructing and renovating school buildings. Such leadership and guidance shall include: (1) Identification and publication of exemplary plans and specifications for new school buildings and other school projects; (2) publication of pamphlets and materials describing the school construction process; (3) information about economical, safe and efficient buildings; (4) incorporation of technology in building designs to promote student learning; and (5) information about the proper maintenance of buildings. (c) The Department of Administrative Services may use the services of the State Education Resource Center, established pursuant to section 10-357a , to carry out the provisions of this section. (d) The Department of Administrative Services may use up to one hundred thousand dollars of the proceeds of the bonds issued pursuant to section 10-287d to carry out the provisions of this section.
