3300. GENERAL

3300 GENERAL 3300.1 This chapter governs lead-based paint hazard elimination and prevention activities in the District of Columbia and implements the Lead Hazard Prevention and Elimination Act of 2008 and the Lead Hazard Prevention and Elimination Amendment Act of 2010 (“the Acts”). 3300.2 The Acts and these regulations require owners of the following structures in the District of Columbia built before 1978 to be maintained free of lead-based paint hazards: (a) Residential dwelling units, including those in multifamily properties; (b) Common areas of multifamily properties; and (c) Child-occupied facilities, such as daycare centers, preschool programs, or kindergarten classrooms.
